Our Nursery School

Our Nursery School currently caters for 26 pupils aged 3 and 4.  The purpose built Nursery School opened on the school site in October 2003. The nursery is equipped with an outdoor area with enclosed sandpit, a large playroom, quiet room and  kitchen. Activities in the nursery are play-based and are carefully planned to allow the children to learn at their own pace in a fun and active way.

My child had a fantastic year at Nursery School. The teachers really helped her to settle in and feel part of all that was going on. There is a fantastic atmosphere and good realtionships between the teachers and parents. The teachers keep you well informed about your child's progress and my daughter is leaving a happy child, ready to take on all that P.1. has to offer.

We noticed a great difference when our child attended Buick Nursery- it has helped her come out of her shell. We also noticed she was eager to learn and enjoyed learning. Miss McFetridge ad Mrs Kelly are a great assett to the school. I found them very helpful and it was easy to discuss anything with them. The children throughout the year appeared happy.

Our child has thoroughly benefited from her time at Buick Memorial Nursery. She has become a much more confident and mature child and has really developed socially. She has had many opportunities to participate in extra curricular activities which have had a very positive impact on her all round development.

I was so surprised and impressed by the 'I Can Do...' book whihc we received at the end of the year. It was lovely to see what our child had achieved throughout the year and it was obvious to see how much work and attention the teachers had put into it.
