Parents' Comments 2007 - 2008

Please take a few minutes to read the comments made by our parents in June 2008:

It was with slight trepidation that we handed over our daughter into the hands of the Buick Memorial Nursery School in September. However, any fears we may have had were quickly eased by the care, support and encouragement provided so professionally by the nursery staff. Throughout the year we watched as our child's confidence grew as she tried new things and made new friends in a nurturing environment. We would not hesitate to recommend the nursery at the Buick to anyone considering sending their child there.

As a parent, it was a pleasure to go to and from Nursery. The staff provided an excellent environment. My concerns about my child's difficulties completely disappeared and now we have reached June, I can only say the Buick Nursery has transformed my child, makng entry to Primary 1 a possible journey. My greatest thanks go to Mr. White and all the team!

Our child has thoroughly benefited from her time at Buick Memorial Nursery. She has become a much more confident and mature child and has really developed socially. She has had many opportunities to participate in extra curricular activities which have had a very positive impact on her all round development.

We have been veruy impressed with all aspects of the teachers and care provided at the Nursery School. We have watched our child grow from a quiet and quite shy individual who was apprehensive about starting nursery to a child who thrives on the daily routine of the school with a genuine affection for the staff. As parents we have been encouraged by the Buick's genuine commitment to education based on the partnership between home and school. We can offer no better recommendation than the words of our child. On his last week of school he said he would miss the nursery, when we asked what he would miss, he simply replied, 'EVERYTHING!' As parents, we thank you for 'everything' you have done throughout the year.

My son has had a really enjoyable year at nursery, with different topics, songs, rhymes and activities each month, he has never got bored. With the help and kidness of Miss McFetridge and Mrs. Kelly he has developed and become a more independent little boy!

The nursery is exciting and colourful, when you walk in you can't help but be embraced by the feeling of happiness and fun.

Smiling happy children and even after two and a half hours, smiling, happy staff!

***** had a great time at nursery, both of the teachers helped ***** and settled her into the school routine. They are friendly and easy to talk to. My child grew in confidence and loves school and cannot wait until P.1.

My child has had  the most enjoyable time at the Nursery. Wonderful teachers a great group of children and friendly parents. He has learned a lot and has grown up fast. I would like to thank Miss McFetridge and Mrs Kelly for making his time at Nursery the best experience.
