All The Best For The Big 'T' On Friday Primary 7...

More Primary 6H work...

As part of capacity week, we investigated how many ways we could make a litre. We discovered that 4X 250ml, 2X 500ml , 10X 100ml and 5X 200ml made 1 litre.

This group co-operated well to carryout our investigations.

Each Friday afternnon in Primary 6 H, we have 'Show and Tell.' Samuel talked about his dog, he brought some photographs to illustrate his talk. The class then asked questions or provided comments. Throughout the year, everyone will get a chance to talk - even Mrs. Humphrey!

In Primary 6H we have to be able to explain to the class how we solved our maths problems.

We have been learning all about 3-D shapes. Mrs. Humphrey set us a challenge, using the sorting circles we had to sort the 3-D shapes using two criterion. We found this hard, as it was difficult to get everyone in the group to  agree! Look closely, can you work out how we sorted these shapes?

This group sorted their shapes using a Carroll Diagram.

As part of our 'World Around Us' topic, we have been studying bees. Mr. Kennedy came to school to talk to us about looking after and caring for bees. This is the suit he wears when he is working with his bees.

This is one of the honeycombs from Mr.Kennedy's hive.

Mr. Kennedy uses this object to smoke the bees out of the hive, so that he can check the Queen Bee and the honey.
