Parents' Comments 2008 - 2009

Thank you to the teaching staff for their commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility. The partnership between the school, children and parents has made such a difference and was made possible because of the open and friendly approach adopted by the teachers. Our child achieved excellent results and the growing level of confidence and self-esteem was obvious. Our sincere thanks once again for providing our child with what we feel has been the best possible preparation for the next stage of his education.

My daughter is leaving Buick Memorial and she has enjoyed her years at Primary School, particularly her final year with Mrs. McQuiston. She has been a great support for the children as they prepare to go to teh High School or Grammar School. 

We have found our daughter's seven years ay Buick Memorial Primary to have been an overall positive experience. As well as receiving a good education she has enjoyed music lessons, netball, hockey and this year, taking part in the play. The teaching and communication from the school have been excellent - the 'Thursday note' always keeps parents well informed. Our daughter is leaving Buick with an excellent level of education, having made some great friends  and is a more confident, out-going person, ready for her next level of education.

This year, I have another child leaving Buick Memorial Primary School, having secured a place in the Grammar school  of her choice. She has, in my mind, had the best teaching, guidance, encouragement and support we could have wished for. To achieve this, Buick Priamry School seeeks out and nurtures the best in every child. It gives them the knowledge and confidence to be ready for whatever the future holds. As ever, I am proud to say my child attended Buick Memorial.

Both of our children have now completed their time at Buick Memorial. One in 2008 and the other in 2009. They found that their time at the school was fun and also as parents, we were very pleased with the education that our children received. The children were always keen to go to school which takes pressure off the parents and as well as receiving a good standard of education, they were introduced to a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including music, cycling, and a wide variety of sports. Having a child in P7. ( now ready to leave Buick Memorial) and a child eagerly awaiting P1. in September. I am very confident taht my four year old, will be looked after, encouraged, nurtured and educated to a high standard by teachers who are very committed - my 11 year old is proof of this!
